Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance in accordance with dealer and factory standards. This role welcomes technicians, trainees, and apprentices interested in professional development and competitive pay.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive and interpret repair orders from dispatchers.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance efficiently and accurately following dealership and factory guidelines.
  • Diagnose vehicle malfunctions and complete authorized repairs.
  • Coordinate with the Parts Department to obtain necessary parts.
  • Tag, save, and return parts as required for warranty or customer requests.
  • Communicate promptly with service advisors about additional work needs or delays.
  • Document all work performed clearly and thoroughly.
  • Conduct road tests to verify repairs address customer concerns.
  • Perform quality checks on completed repairs.
  • Attend training sessions to stay updated on technical bulletins and factory procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness of customers’ vehicles.
  • Observe safety, housekeeping policies, and comply with federal, state, and local service regulations.

Physical Requirements

  • Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Frequent lifting or moving of objects up to 25 pounds and occasional lifting up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to walk, sit, talk, and hear as needed.
Job Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Michigan Mechanic Certification.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical instructions and information.
  • Professional personal appearance.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to meet production and quality standards.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
