Position Overview

We are looking for a reliable Automotive Service Porter to support our service department by maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work environment. This role is essential in assisting technicians and ensuring customer vehicles receive proper care throughout the service process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Move vehicles around the service lot as directed to maintain order.
  • Keep the service drive, write-up area, and shop clean and tidy.
  • Wash and clean the interior and exterior of vehicles, including trunks and glove compartments.
  • Clean engines and apply specialized cleaners according to manufacturer instructions.
  • Assist technicians in keeping the service department organized and clean.
  • Support property maintenance to ensure a positive dealership appearance.
  • Greet customers promptly in a courteous and friendly manner.
  • Drive the shuttle to transport customers as needed.
  • Perform trash removal and general housekeeping duties.
  • Complete all required training, including OSHA right-to-know training.
  • Adhere to company policies and wear the approved uniform.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to assist the team.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent lifting of up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, and handle tools as needed.
  • Work in environments with loud noise and exposure to moving mechanical parts.
  • Potential exposure to battery acid, gasoline, cleaning chemicals, exhaust fumes, and other automotive substances.

Job Requirements:
  • Current, valid driver’s license with a satisfactory motor vehicle record.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and good organizational skills.
  • No prior retail or automotive experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
