Position Overview

As an Automotive Mobile Service Technician, you will perform vehicle repair and maintenance work following dealer and factory standards in a mobile environment. This role requires technical skill, attention to detail, and strong customer service to ensure satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform vehicle repairs as outlined on repair orders while working in a mobile setting.
  • Communicate effectively with the Parts Department to obtain necessary components.
  • Tag, save, and return parts as required, especially under warranty or customer requests.
  • Document all work completed thoroughly and accurately.
  • Conduct quality checks on work performed to ensure standards are met.
  • Attend training sessions and stay updated on factory technical bulletins.
  • Maintain clean vehicles and adhere to safety and housekeeping policies.
  • Follow all federal, state, and local regulations governing vehicle service repair work.

Work Hours

This position may require working evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements

  • Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Ability to walk, sit, talk, and hear as part of daily activities.
  • Frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds.
Job Requirements:

Qualifications and Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Michigan Mechanic Certification required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and technical information.
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
  • Excellent communication skills and professional personal appearance.
  • Ability to work effectively with others and maintain positive morale.
  • Commitment to following company policies, confidentiality agreements, and lawful instructions.
  • Ability to meet company production and quality standards.
  • Willingness to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
