Position Overview

As an Automotive Main Line Service Technician, you will perform vehicle repair and maintenance following dealer and factory standards. You will specialize in engine repair, steering suspension, brakes, HVAC, engine tune-up, and electrical systems. This role welcomes technicians at all experience levels, including trainees and apprentices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive repair orders and prepare vehicle service areas.
  • Perform diagnostics and repairs efficiently and accurately according to standards.
  • Communicate with parts department to obtain necessary components.
  • Tag, save, and return parts for warranty or customer requests.
  • Inform service advisors about additional work or delays.
  • Document all work performed and conduct road tests to verify repairs.
  • Attend training sessions and stay updated on factory technical bulletins.
  • Maintain cleanliness of customer vehicles.
  • Follow safety, housekeeping policies, and regulatory requirements.

  • Certifications in engine repair, steering suspension, brakes, HVAC, engine tune-up, and electrical systems preferred.

  • Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Frequent walking, sitting, talking, and hearing.
  • Frequent lifting/moving up to 25 pounds; occasional lifting up to 100 pounds.
